The historic Emeline Carpenter School campus is being transformed into Sparks Lake Activity Center — a renewed home for community connection, recreation, events, and opportunity in Nacogdoches.
We invite volunteers, families, students, churches, local businesses, and community supporters to be part of the story.
Help at Events
Welcome guests, assist with setup, support check-in, help with parking flow, and make visitors feel at home.
Support Youth Programs
Help with basketball nights, open gym, future clinics, family activities, and community programs.
Cleanup & Projects
Assist with property cleanup, painting, outdoor setup, signage, landscaping, and buildout days.
Share Your Skills
Bring your talents — organizing, coaching, photography, decorating, repairs, planning, outreach, or hospitality.
Support The Soft Opening
Help prepare for upcoming events, July 4th activities, information tables, signs, games, and guest flow.
